After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, I looked ahead and realized I was going to be out of a job once my children left home. I dipped my toe in showbiz and haven’t looked back. Over the last few years I’ve acted in many plays, commercials, tv shows, and industrials.
My cooking show, Vegetarian Cooking For Carnivores, is the perfect combination of two things I love doing – cooking and being in front of the camera. As a former meat eater, I understand the difficulty of remaining a vegetarian – never again to have chicken parmigiana or corn dogs! Forbidding something only makes you want it all the more. So I decided to make a cooking show using substitute meat in many of my recipes. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
Lately, I’ve recorded approximately 50 songs from the 20s, 30s, and 40s for a series of detective audio books. I also write poetry, garden, and volunteer for the SPCA.
You may have noticed that keeping an immaculate house is NOT listed. Well, as Joan Rivers says – you dust, you scrub, you vacuum…then 6 months later you have to do it all over again. WORDS TO LIVE BY!
